Now offering straight runs of chicks, in increments of 7 birds, from our beautiful rainbow flock of coturnix quail. Our average bird weight is 9oz. We breed for health and temperament first and foremost. Some of our birds are from jumbo lines and a few carry the celadon (Ce) gene. Most of our coturnix breeders are from Myshire and Whisky Tango Farms. Our birds are currently housed in the following groups:
We hatch a limited number of chicks every few weeks, and finally have enough of a surplus to offer limited chicks locally. We do not guarantee color or gender of chicks. Only available by pickup or local delivery. No out of state sales at this time. We do separate our birds into groups, and you are welcome to make notes of preference if you like. We are happy to accommodate requests when possible.
We love these lil guys. They have a short incubation (18 days average), are full grown and laying in 6-8 weeks, are fairly quiet, docile, and some color variants are feather sexable. Their 10-14g eggs are very tasty and nutritious, while their personalities and noises are sure to entertain. They sometimes make little cricket chirps, so we refer to them as our cricket birds. For our son who is very sensitive to loud noises, due to struggles with sensory processing, they have been a wonderful addition to our family. Even the little roosters make small noises compared to chickens. We hope these little birds will bring you as much enjoyment as they have us and would love to hear your hatching story! We are also happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hatching eggs are also available in our other listings. We hope to have blue layers available by next year.
